About Alejandra Bravo

Alejandra Bravo currently serves as the City Councillor for Ward 9—Davenport. She is the Chair of Economic & Community Development Committee, guiding Toronto’s work to build a more fair city with strong public services, good jobs, and an inclusive economy.

She also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Health, Vice Chair of Striking Committee, Chair of the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee, and as a member of the Executive Committee, Toronto Arts Council, Long-Term Care Committee of Management, and a number of local boards and business improvement areas.

Alejandra has a 25-year history of leadership with civil society organizations, including as the Director of Leadership and Training at the Broadbent Institute, Manager of Leadership and Learning at Maytree, and Founding Director of the Power Lab, a leadership learning initiative co-created with the Atkinson Foundation that is focused on local organizing for a more fair economy. She also served on the board of various non-profit community organizations, as a public member of the Toronto Board of Health, and as Chair of the Davenport TDSB Ward Council.
