About Chris Moise
Chris Moise (he/him) was elected the City Councillor for Ward 13 – Toronto Centre on October 24, 2022. Chris has spent over two decades living and working throughout communities in Ward 13 and is committed to improving safety, transit, housing affordability and social services while fostering equity, fairness and inclusion in all aspects of city life.
Prior to being elected to City Council, Chris served as a Toronto District School Board Trustee for six years standing up for and investing in our schools, working with local families and stakeholders, and ensuring that our children and our communities could fulfill their potential and achieve a brighter future. He also worked on the frontlines as a police officer in Waterloo, and as an addictions counsellor at St. Michael’s Hospital building deep roots in our communities, and providing care and assistance to people in need. He knows first-hand how to bring neighbourhoods, communities, and first responders closer together to improve our safety while fostering more equity, fairness, and inclusion.
As a small business owner in the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood for over 17 years, Chris understands the challenges of running a local business and knows firsthand their importance in enhancing and preserving vibrant local neighbourhoods. Chris is honoured to have been appointed as the small business advocate on the Economic and Community Development Committee and looks forward to being championing our recovery and rebuild efforts.
